In less than a month, when the Reggae Girls face Panama in the Women’s CONCACAF Gold Cup Qualifier, they will do so under the leadership of a new head coach. Lorne Donaldson and the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) have officially parted ways.
According to a JFF news release issued on Friday, the JFF and Coach Lorne Donaldson held discussions regarding his contract as the Senior Women’s Team Coach, which was set to expire on September 30, 2023. After extensive deliberations, both parties mutually agreed not to renew the contract. The JFF expressed its gratitude to Lorne for his dedicated service to Jamaican football over the years, especially for his role in the recent Women’s World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand, which made the nation proud. They have confidence in his future endeavors and extend their best wishes to him. Watch the report:
