Brazil will have to wait 24- 48 hours for a fitness evaluation to determine if Neymar Jr will be able to play for the remainder of the FIFA World Cup 2022. It is understood that the Brazilian star player suffered a ‘trauma’ to his right ankle.
Neymar appeared to be in severe discomfort following Nikola Milenkovic’s counterattack during Brazil’s World Cup opener against Serbia. He was later substituted in the 79th minute.
Brazil is one of the favorites to win this year’s FIFA World Cup which would make it their 6th overall title. Brazil’s next match is set for Monday, November, 28 against Switzerland.
