Warm Welcome For Shriver, Special Olympics Chair

On Monday, Timothy Shriver, Chairman of the Special Olympics, arrived in Jamaica to a warm reception from members of Special Olympics Jamaica. During his visit, Mr. Shriver engaged with those present, expressing his pleasure at the enthusiastic welcome from the Special Olympics Jamaica team. He anticipates further growth for the local Special Olympics and emphasized its vital role in fostering inclusivity for individuals irrespective of their circumstances.

Mr. Shriver highlighted a recent Memorandum of Understanding that Jamaica is set to sign, focusing on inclusivity in educational institutions. Meanwhile, Lorna Bell, Executive Director of the Special Olympics Caribbean Initiative, eagerly anticipates the expansion of special programs in local schools.
