The Rastafarian faith is known for its culture of love and peace however, their reputation is being tainted as residents of Weise Road, Bull Bay allege criminals are using the Bobo Hill space as an escape route after committing several shootings.
There has been an increase in police presence in the communities following a drive-by that resulted in the deaths of two persons recently. Most recently, another drive-by in Dirt Road, Bull Bay resulted in four being injured and claiming the life of one.
The increase in violence has left many residents tense and has caused many others to flee their communities.
Members of the Rastafarian congress, however, states that crime and violence are not a part of their teaching and are not welcome in their group. They also stated that whoever visits their holy ground must be searched and account for whatever they take with them.
